ABOUT ME
I've always wanted to own my own business, but I could never settle on one specific thing that I wanted to do. Over the years I've tried furniture design, painting, sculpture and of course fabric and yarn arts. I've been focused on crochet since 2005, even though I've been crocheting and writing my own patterns for over thirty years. So, this website is mostly dedicated to the things that I make out of yarn. But, don't be surprised if you see a painting or sculpture pop up on the site from time to time.
When my husband and I got married, he wanted to help me start my own business. But instead of renting a building and having to worry about paying for all the overhead costs, he decided to build me this beautiful website. So, along with my husband as my web master and design consultant and myself as the designer and creator, we are ScarecrowOriginals.
And, in case you're wondering why I picked this particular name for our business, it was inspired by the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. Because......."If I only had a brain", I would have figured out how to retire to Barbados by now.
